I will never claim to have the golden bullet to use on a Jehovah’s Witness to help them. The only thing that ultimately can move them away from the organisation is a move of the Holy Spirit.
Although understanding the deity of Christ played a major part in helping me break away, I just wanted to share some things that really helped me during my time of questioning this group. You may wish to try the following things: -
What do you think Jesus meant when he said “I am the way, the truth, and the life”? – John 14:6.
Why does your religion not baptise people in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as directed in Matthew 28?
Jesus said in John 6 to remember Jesus by sharing in the bread & wine. Where in the bible does it say that we should simply pass it around and only certain people should partake?
The bible says there is only one hope and one faith (Eph 4:4-6) – why does your organisation say that there are actually 2 hopes, one heavenly and one earthly?
You teach that the great crowd will be resurrected on the earth can you explain why Revelation 7:9 says that the great crowd are in heaven?
If I 100% believe the bible but reject the watchtower, am I allowed to be a Jehovahs Witness?……(I have literally seen peoples cogs tick round there head when you ask that).
If I am saved by how much I can do….how much do I need to do?
Will God judge me on my heart condition? (If they say yes, then take them to Jeremiah 17:9 )and pose the question…..does this mean that I shouldn’t listen to my heart, but rather listen to what Gods word says?
Do you think that the people in Ronald Weinland’s church (the guy who keeps predicting the end of the world) are completely justified to leave his church when he kept making false prophecies? (They will of course say yes, in which case it’s a good opportunity to talk about 1975 when they did exactly the same thing)
I personally have found these real thought provoking questions, you may want to word them differently, but I hope you find these helpful.
Thank-you for your continued outreach to this group.
