2016 Calender on the red cubes

Happy New Year!

For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified… 1 Cor.2:2

Happy New Year everyone! Have you made any resolutions? Most people resolve to improve their health, improve their finances, perhaps learn something new or spend more time with their family.  Of course there is nothing wrong with any of those things, but statistics show that things resolved in January are often broken by February.

What about UK Partnerships for Christ, what are we resolving for 2016? This year we resolve to continue to support and equip Christians to share the truth in love with Jehovah’s Witnesses; and we resolve to assist seeking Jehovah’s Witnesses to find new life and freedom in Jesus. To this end we will address some important topics through our blog posts.

A real problem for those who leave Jehovah’s Witnesses is where to go next. Having had years of being told that everything outside of the organisation is satanic, and being indoctrinated against anything that comes from Christendom, many who leave find themselves drifting into atheism. To address these issues we will be looking at, amongst other topics:

  • Life after Jehovah’s Witnesses
  • Is there a God beyond the Watchtower?
  • Why do so many different Christian Churches exist? ..History of the church.
  • Can I go to church? What church should I attend?
  • Why so many Bibles? What translation of the bible should I use?
  • Jehovah’s Witnesses and Adventism
  • Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Millennial Kingdom
  • Jehovah’s Witnesses doctrine of Salvation
  • Jehovah’s Witnesses doctrine of Man
  • Jehovah’s Witness doctrine of Christ

If there is any particular topic you would like us to address through our blog post please get in touch.

Throughout 2016, we resolve to personally engage in discussion with individual Jehovah’s Witnesses, attend a local memorial meal and share Christ at conventions. Please pray that fruit would come from our efforts.

Also 2016 will see monthly podcasts, sharing interviews, testimonies and discussion with those who have had some involvement with Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons. These will help you understand the mindset of those caught in cults and help you as you seek to win them to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Towards the end of 2015, we had some good news as UK Partnerships for Christ became a registered charity. Our hope during 2016 we can increase our support both financially and prayerfully. Is God calling you to support us in some way?

UK Partnerships for Christ exists to lead those lost in darkness to the light found in Christ alone. To this end, we pray that God will use us ‘…to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…’.

Please pray for our ministry, please get in touch if you can help with any of the above, and please subscribe to our posts and leave your thoughts.

  1. I and my wife are gradually leaving the JWs. It has been our life from childhood. Even a friend recognises the faults within the organisation. But what she wonders is where is Gods organisation today, she feels that as God had a people in the past with the Israelites, and then the Christian congregation, surely there is an organisation today but where is it? Who are they? This is a popular argument JWs use. In fact, an Elder who was questioning my beliefs posed the same question. Wondering where I am going to go if I leave JWs?

  2. M ,

Thanks for sharing your story . Your question of where are you to go if you leave Jw’s is crucial to find the answer to . It’s important to realize that if we long for a right relationship with God , gaining His approval for receiving life everlasting , that the answer to this is not WHERE we should go , but rather it is to WHOM we should go . What the Watchtower has done is to cleverly equate coming into the organization for salvation with coming to a person for salvation . That person is Jesus . What does Jesus say ? Jesus was stating the Father’s will when he said ” Come unto Me ” ( Matt 11:28; see also Jn 5:39-40 ) .

Jesus has the authority and ability to forgive us ,( Mk 2:10 ; Matt 28:18) then to take us by the hand as it were and introduce us to his Father . Gaining the Father’s approval thus commences when we come personally to Jesus and ask him for forgiveness . He will abundantly pardon , and then a beautiful thing happens — a very intimate relationship /friendship commences between him and us and thus a saving relationship between the Father and us , it’s a fellowship that becomes a part of your every day — this is God’s will and it pleases Him so — 1Cor 1:9 . So do you know Jesus , or just know about him ?
May you start by asking yourself that question .

There is information in this ministry that can help you with the questions you have . Also please consider contacting the moderators of this blog if you need one on one assistence , they’re hear to help .
    Take care .

  3. M, sorry for the delay in posting in response to your question. First of all I would like to assure you that a relationship with God is possible outside of the organization. Everything Mike said above is correct, it is all about a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ (not the WT version). I realize that this must be an incredibly difficult time for you and your wife, but be assured we understand and would very much like to be a support to you. Please message me if you have further questions.
